Hi! I'm Natalie Green. (No, not the one from "The Facts of Life.")
I was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois.
When I was 17, I dropped out of high school and moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee with a dude I met on the internet.
(It's a long story. Let's have coffee sometime and I'll tell you all about it.)
I've since moved on from the aforementioned dude and have been happily married to a different dude for 13 years.
We have two
feral beautiful children (with a third on the way in August), and two asshole adorable cats.
Writing has been my passion since I learned what writing was. I cut my writer's teeth late at night in AOL role-playing chat rooms.
You can stop laughing now.
I poured my heart out into the digital pages of LiveJournal for nearly ten years. I later started a blog that enjoyed moderate success before moving on writing several regular columns on a local e-news site, Nooga.com.
In July of 2018, I made one of the scariest decisions of my adult life so far: I quit my stable, 9–5 job and jumped headfirst into the world of freelancing. I took Clever Girl Digital full-time, and haven't looked back since.
In my free time (LOL), you can find me pushing for community change as a member of Chattanooga Moms for Social Justice's leadership team, spending time with my family, reading, and smashing the patriarchy.
